Class will start with some brief improvisation to warm up and integrate into the space, followed by more technical practices both standing and on the floor, finishing with a phrase exploring vigor, spatial trajectory, and taking up space.
Lynn Tofil (she/her) is a dance artist and writer located in the Detroit area. Lynn received an undergraduate degree in Dance from Wayne State University in 2014. Following graduation, Lynn spent six years contributing to the Seattle dance scene through performing, choreographing, and writing for Seattledances.com. She performed with HYPERNOVA Contemporary Dance Company, Sleep Nod, and several other local Seattle artists. She has received funding from Artist Trust for her durational work, Things That Need To Be Done, which she produced in 2019. Lynn now lives and works in the Detroit area choreographing, performing, and teaching.
