FLOYD

  • Wayne State University- Allesee Studio Theatre, 3rd Floor 4841 Cass Ave Detroit, MI 48202 United States (map)

Join us as we present FLOYD our first show as Resident Company of Wayne State University / Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance.

In this duet, created c. 2015, collaborative/creative duo Shaina and Bryan Baira pay homage to the rock band Pink Floyd; churning through and aligning with the bands perspectives, philosophies and experiences of living through their art form. FLOYD digs unapologetically into the early story of Shaina and Bryan, fueling their ambition to understand how ones inner child can survive amidst the often gruesome struggles of being alive.

*This work was originally made possible by generous space support from NYC Tisch Summer Performance Series, The Alliance of resident Theatres/New York, East Village Dance Project and Martha & Chris Tornay.
