To commemorate the closing the new Carr Center Gallery's inaugural exhibit, Beyond Space, we will present a special performance / closing circle / artist talk.
For African folk in America, the revival (also referenced as a hush harbor) served as a gathering of neighboring spirit communities to experience, witness and testify on the complexities of the material/spiritual existence.
In this closing circle, Carr Center Independent Artists and Scholars Viktor L. Ewing Givens,Jennifer Harge and Ricky Weaver will facilitate a space honoring this particular Black fellowship.
Following the convening attendees are invited to continue the conversation at an open community reception.
